Hardware and Software Requirements

You must have a computer that is running Windows version 3.1 or later to install WinPACL for Windows 3.1. Windows 3.1 features TrueType screen and printer fonts. Because WinPACL makes substantial use of TrueType fonts, be sure they are enabled if you are using Windows 3.1. You can ensure that this is the case by selecting Fonts from the Windows Control Panel (usually located in your Main Program group) and clicking the TrueType button. The Enable TrueType Fonts check box should be checked; click on this box if it is not already checked, then click on the OK button.

To install WinPACL for Windows 95/98/NT you must have a computer that is running Windows version 95, 98 or NT.

WinPACL requires at least 16MB RAM, a mouse or other pointing device, and at least 3MB of free hard disk space. WinPACL supports Windows-compatible monitors and graphics printers. A laser or other high-speed, high-resolution printer is recommended. Daisy-wheel and other text-only printers are not supported.
